Here's the first edition of College Confessions and I'm going to be talking about living in dorms with roommates (this applies to any setting that you'll live with roommates).
At my school we have suites, so its kind of like an apartment with 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. My first semester I was bunked, and these rooms are just not designed to have two people living in one space. It was just not a good situation. Long story short, we didn't get along for half the semester and then she transferred schools.
If you don't know the people you will be living with, here's some advice I learned the hard way:
1. Talk before moving in. I didn't meet one of my roommates until the beginning of my second week of school or something crazy like that and it was just awkward. It still is. We texted once before I moved to school. Just try to create a relationship with the people you're going to be living with.
2. Talk about what can be shared. I made the grave mistake of borrowing a tupperware container, assuming it would be okay since there are about 15 of them. Yeah that was a meltdown and a can of crazy. Make sure everyone is okay with their stuff being shared. Or maybe I just had a crazy person living with me.
3. Communicate!! Make an effort to become friends with them! You sleep and eat in the same place as them, why not be friends?
That's all I had on my mind for today
With Love, The Peony Princess

That is crazy about the tupperware! I never had a roommate and I kind of regret that but on the other hand I guess it is much more stressfree. :)

Thank you so much! I've loved the experience of living with roommates but there were a couple of crazies in the beginning, hah!
